Christopher Aikman is a Scottish Illustrator based in Cardiff, Wales.

After studying general Art and Design courses and specialising in Illustration for 5 years, Chris continues practising illustration from his home studio. Chris enjoys working on editorial, advertising, promotional, publishing, graphic novels, branding, and much more. He doesn’t shy away from a challenge and is passionate about illustrating and bringing ideas to life.

Chris’s illustrations are colourful, have a distinct aesthetic, are thought-provoking, and invite the audience to participate and play with the possibilities within the illustrations. He is inspired by the world around him and the lived experience he and others have and he has a true passion for passing on knowledge to others through his illustration specialism. Chris’s illustrations blend traditional handmade mediums such as watercolour, coloured pencils, and ink, with digital software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Procreate.

Chris has previously worked with clients like Amazon, BBC History Magazine, and White Light Media. He has also been a guest speaker at schools such as Ysgol Y Deri for Careers Wales and on the Cardiff School of Art and Design Podcast with the Deputy Dean, discussing the future of Illustration in the second AI boom.
